Get that ring cleaned girl - you've got pictures to take!
First off, CONGRATS! I'm sure you're here to check out all things related to engagement photos, and I am SO excited to help!
Engagement sessions are my FAVORITE! This time in a couples life is very fast pace, full of excitement and love. I enjoy the fact that I can spend time with couples to learn about their love stories, embrace in their joy and help capture the special moments between them. During our time together, it is important to me to incorporate your personalities and love to prepare you and get you excited for your big day - as I am sure, it is not to far away!
As we move through your session, I will encourage you to laugh, hug, kiss and probably even tickle your partner - sorry! It will make for great photos, I promise! The best place to do your engagement photos is where you both feel most comfortable. Couples often choose to do their photos at a place where they’ve had dates, special moments or just enjoyed a late night snack at. You’re always welcome to include your fur babes - just don’t forget the leash or the treats (I do encourage you to bring an extra set of hands for our 4-legged friends for when they're not in the photos)!
Most clients who book an engagement shoot with me usually end up discussing their wedding as well. I highly recommend reaching out with wedding details first if this is your first encounter with engagement photos as I do have wedding collections with special pricing to include these photos!
Getting Comfortable:
Let's be honest, the camera is not always everyone's favorite thing. Especially when you have no experience in front of or around one. Your engagement session is the perfect time to warm up to being photographed and understand how to pose and look cute doing so. Think forward to your wedding day, you know the timeline might be pretty tight and you may only get a certain amount of time to do Bride + Groom portraits - for this reason, I highly encourage you to book an engagement session ahead of time with your preferred wedding photographer!
Showcase your love:
One the best things to do during your engagement session is showcase your love and personality for one another! The camera doesn't care what you look like when you're in love - nor do I - I'm a sucker for the romance! Plus - your engagement photos are perfect for Save the Dates and around the wedding venue.
SLOW DOWN + relax:
Alright y'all, when is the big day?! A few months away, maybe even a few weeks?! How's that stress level...? - high I'm sure.
Ok! So let's take a deep breath, grab a bottle of champagne, a beer or two and maybe even some wings or pizza and let's hangout! This time in your journey to marriage is all about enjoying one another's company and celebrating how far you have come before you say those special words "I DO"!
So let's take this time to smile, laugh and enjoy each others company while capturing some awesome moments to share with your loved ones before the big day!
